Content development programmes criteria review / consultation

In keeping with its commitment to ongoing and open consultation and communication with film (audio/ visual) stakeholders, the Trinidad & Tobago Film Company (TTFC) cordially invites all interested film industry persons to participate in the second of the TTFC's Fiscal 2011 Consultations.

On November 30th or December 2nd take advantage of the opportunity to assist in reviewing and developing the existing Content Development Programmes (namely Feature Film Programme (FFP), Production Assistance and Script Development Programme (PASD) and the Short Film Programme).

Each of these programmes was designed in the interest of providing funding, guidance and support to film practitioners interested in developing local content.

Through these programmes, productions such as 'Minutes to MidNite', 'The Reef', 'The Vegetarian Super Machine', 'The Amerindians' and so many others have been brought to completion. However, there have been teething challenges and this is why it is important for the industry to give the TTFC its feedback and participation in this consultation process.

Documents outlining the processes and criteria of each programme are available. Should you be interested in participating, please email the TTFC at info@trinidadandtobagofilm.com and these documents can be forwarded for your perusal.

You may choose from ONE of TWO (2) sessions on each day: 9:00 a.m.(sharp) – 11:30 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. (sharp) – 3:30 p.m. We recommend you register as early as possible to secure the session which is most convenient to you. Light refreshments will be served.

The TTFC hopes that you would be in a position to review this information and prepare to partake in an intensive discussion of the programmes with a view to: identifying any shortcomings and also offering possible solutions that would fit within the existing framework and raison d’être of the programmes.

Updates on the outcomes of the last consultation - "FISCAL INCENTIVES" will soon be available.
