Cancellation of the T&T film nights event - Chaguanas

The Trinidad and Tobago Film Company (TTFC) wishes to inform all members of the public that the T&T Film Nights event that was scheduled for Saturday 17th April 2010 at 6:00 pm in the Chaguanas Market car park, Main road, Chaguanas was cancelled due to inclement weather.

Reports from the Meteorological office on Friday 16th April 2010 confirmed that the forecast for Saturday would be partially cloudy with some sunshine and a chance of rain. However, there was sustained rainfall over the Borough of Chaguanas from 11:00 am on Saturday morning till 2 pm in the afternoon, resulting in the flooding of the Chaguanas main road, the Chaguanas market car park and surrounding streets. As such, Her Worship, Mayor Natasha Navas communicated that the event will be cancelled.

The Trinidad and Tobago Film Company shares the concern for the safety and comfort of attendees to this event in Chaguanas and endorses the view that the event should be postponed to a later date. The TTFC sincerely apologizes for any inconvenience this news may have caused and also apologizes for the late notice of cancellation of this event.
