T&T FILM SHOWCASE COMING TO ARIMA

The Trinidad and Tobago Film Company in collaboration with The Office of the Mayor of Arima, the Arima Municipal Corporation and First Citizens will host another evening of T&T Film Nights – Cinema Showcase under the stars, this Saturday 20th March at the Arima Basketball Courts, Hollis Avenue Arima.

The showcase will feature entertainment for the whole family including much loved animated shorts The Vegetarian Super Machine, produced by Camille Selvon Abrahams and Vendor Rivalry produced by Ansar Sattar, and Kirk Budhooram’s Mandy in addition to Jean Michel Gibert’s Soca Power which takes journey into in the lives of local music icons Sheldon Blackman, Machel Montano, Faye Ann Lyons and Bunji Garlan. The film-makers will be in attendance and copies of the films will be available on sale.

Gates will open at 6:00 p.m. and film screenings will commence at 7:00 p.m., best of all admission will be free to all patrons!!

Also this weekend will be the second installment of the TTFC’s “Weekend” Television Film Festival to be aired on partnering local television stations Gayelle The Channel, TV6, CNMG and CNC3. A wonderful line-up of documentaries, short films, features plus award winning films from the 2009 Trinidad and Tobago Film Festival – Best Short Film – Dr. Patricia Mohammed’s Coolie Pink and Green and Best Local Film – Mariel Brown’s The Solitary Alchemist will be broadcast.
